BacID – Quantitative Metagenomics for Bacteria Identification by 16S Sequencing from sample cloths or vacuum devices dust.
The test will be conducted every two weeks. Samples will be accepted for NGS (New Generation Sequencing) technique processing from Monday to Friday of the first week, as well as from Monday to Wednesday of the following week. Reports will be issued the following Tuesday.
To check report dates please visit the below calendar:
The BacID report includes comprehensive lists of Actinobacteria, Cyanobacteria, Pathogenic Bacteria, and more, along with the Human Habitat Bacteria & Soil Habitat Bacteria panel to obtain Dominance and Prevalence Indices.
Our process incorporates DNA extraction controls and PCR inhibition checks. If inhibitors are detected in a sample, you will be notified to halt processing for that sample, and you will only be charged the processing fee ($35).
It’s worth noting that the same dust extracted from the cloths can be used for the Endotoxin test, eliminating the need to send two separate cloths. If you wish to include QPCR molds detection, such as ERMI, please ensure that you send an ample amount of powder, at least 20 mg. This quantity will allow us to extract the necessary DNA for both QPCR and NGS analyses.
