SAMPLE AREAS like:
- tops of interior door frames,
- moldings,
- entertainment centers,
- shelves,
- dressers,
- nightstands,
- HVAC return vents.
DO NOT SAMPLE from:
- bathrooms, laundry rooms, or kitchens,
- visible mold source (directly),
- rusty areas,
- areas with clay or drywall dust from construction/repair,
- areas near stoves, heaters, or other high heat sources.
The test will be run on the dust extracted from the sampling cloth, so make sure the cloth is visibly dirty, continue swiping areas if the cloth is not dirty enough.
Not enough sample can drive non-accurate results.
If the client requests to execute the analysis even if the sample is not enough, the client assumes the responsibility over possible not accurate results.
DO NOT place the form Chain of Custody inside the plastic bag with the sample.
The Turnaround Time (TAT) is the time taken to complete the analysis requested once the sample has been received.
The TAT could be Same Day (SD), 1, 2, 3, or 5 days, depending on the type of test. We offer priority service to get early results, and each one has a different price.
The TAT for each service:
- All qPCR tests are SD, 1, 2, 3 or 5 days.
- Endotoxin service is 3 or 5 Days.
For Same Day results, the sample would need to be received by 10:30 A.M. (CST). Usually, the sample would be delivered overnight.
For 1 Day TAT analysis the sample would need to be received by 2 P.M. (CST); orders received after 2 P.M. (CST) will be processed the next day.
Yes, you may purchase your own sampling cloth at any local drugstore or supermarket. For that purpose follow the instructions contain on LISBT 03 – Own Dust Cloth Sample Instructions
Just use a brand new sweeping cloth as a sampling cloth (reference brand: Swiffer® Sweeper) to take your samples
Use only one cloth per test.
